Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out what you may and may not do with the Vellym Service, and is incorporated into our Terms of Service by reference. Violating this AUP may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination.

1. No illegal or harmful content

You may not use the Service to create, upload, or generate content that:

  • Is illegal under applicable law, or promotes illegal activity.
  • Infringes someone else’s intellectual property, trademark, or other legal rights.
  • Is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or discriminatory toward any individual or group.
  • Depicts or sexualizes minors in any way.
  • Contains malware or is designed to compromise the security of any system.

2. No deceptive or non-consensual likeness use

Because the Service can generate realistic video content, you specifically agree not to:

  • Create a video using a real person’s name, image, voice, or likeness without their consent.
  • Generate content intended to impersonate a real person, brand, or organization in a misleading way.
  • Create deceptive content about elections, public health, or other matters of public concern, intended to mislead.
  • Present AI-generated content as unedited footage of a real event where that would be misleading to a reasonable viewer.

3. No abuse of the Service itself

You may not:

  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits, quotas, or rate limits.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our prior written permission.
  • Use automated means to access the Service beyond its intended, documented use.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Service to third parties without authorization.
  • Use the Service to build a directly competing product.

4. No spam or unsolicited content

You may not use the Service to generate or distribute unsolicited advertising, chain messages, or other spam.

5. Enforcement

We may review content only as necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Service, or to investigate a suspected violation of this AUP. If we determine, at our reasonable discretion, that you’ve violated this policy, we may remove content, suspend your account, or terminate it, depending on the severity and whether it’s a repeat violation. We’ll generally try to notify you of the reason, except where doing so could interfere with a legal or safety investigation.

6. Reporting abuse

If you believe someone is using Vellym, UAB’s Service in violation of this policy — including generating a deceptive video using your own likeness without consent — report it to abuse@vellym.com.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this AUP from time to time to address new risks or misuse patterns. Material changes will be communicated the same way as changes to our Terms of Service.
