Refund Policy
Last updated: 18 September 2026
This is a draft template prepared for Vellym, UAB and has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel. Fields shown in brackets are placeholders — replace them with the real details before publishing this page. The 14-day EU consumer withdrawal carve-out below reflects a general reading of EU consumer-rights law and is not a substitute for legal advice — have it confirmed before publishing.
This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for Vellym, UAB’s paid subscription plans. It applies alongside, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service.
1. Subscriptions are non-refundable by default
Like most subscription software, we don’t offer refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused rendering budget, or the time remaining on a plan after you cancel. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and you won’t be charged again after that.
2. Your EU statutory right of withdrawal (consumers only)
If you’re a consumer (using the Service for personal, non-business purposes) and you’re located in the European Union, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of first subscribing, without giving any reason, under EU Directive 2011/83/EU as implemented in Lithuania.
This right does not apply once we have fully performed the service with your prior express consent and acknowledgment that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal — in practice, this means: if you start using the Service (for example, starting a project or generating a scene) within the 14-day window, you are consenting to immediate performance, and your withdrawal right ends once that use has happened. If you haven’t used the Service yet, you can still withdraw and receive a full refund of that payment within the 14-day window.
To exercise this right, contact us at billing@vellym.com within 14 days of your purchase.
3. Exceptions we’ll consider
Outside the statutory right above, we may issue a refund or credit at our discretion in cases such as:
- A duplicate or accidental charge.
- A billing error on our part.
- A confirmed, sustained outage that materially prevented you from using the Service.
Requests like these are reviewed case by case — reach out to billing@vellym.com and we’ll take a look.
4. Free trials and promotional credit
If a plan includes a free trial or promotional credit, no charge occurs until the trial ends or the credit is exhausted. Cancelling before that point means you’re never billed. Once billing begins, this policy applies as above.
5. Business (B2B) customers
The statutory withdrawal right in Section 2 applies to consumers only. If you’re subscribing on behalf of a business, the non-refundable default in Section 1 applies in full, unless otherwise agreed in a separate written contract.
6. How to cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings, or by emailing billing@vellym.com. Cancelling stops future billing; it does not retroactively refund the current period, except as described above.
